I lost a friend today.
Although Vernon was a victor inside the ring he was an even bigger champion outside of it.
Vernon always gave of himself. He loved his charities. He felt blessed to be associated with such wonderful people.
His smile was more powerful than his then his jab.
I'll fondly remember his kindness, spirit and loyalty.
Pound for pound you'll never find a better boxer.
Pound for pound you'll never find a better person.
To the man who always fought the good fight,
May God bless you and yours...
You'll be forever missed,
